Update Instructions
Automated: Over the Air (OTA) via internet connection
- When the DVR powers on it will connect to the internet.
- Once connected, the DVR will report the serial number and current firmware version to the firmware site
- If a new version is available, the version information and download link will be sent to the DVR
- After the firmware downloads, the DVR will automatically update the next time the DVR boots up
Manual Update Methods
Method 1: through web interface
- Download the firmware from the link at the top of the page to your device
- Connect your device to the DVR unit’s Wi-Fi or LAN port
Method 2: through a SD card (preferred)
- Plug a SD card into the proper card slot on your PC
- Create a new folder named auto_upgrade in the root directory of the SD card
- Download the firmware from the link at the top of the page to the "auto_upgrade" folder on the SD card
- Insert the SD card into the DVR and power on the DVR. The DVR will boot and being applying the update. It will beep twice to indicate the start of the firmware update, then beep once a few min later signaling the end of the firmware update. Do not power off the DVR until the single beep is heard. The DVR will reboot on its own once the firmware update has been installed.
